Celebrating milestones — and shaping what is next for space in Switzerland and Europe

At the end of May, ETH Zürich | Space was proud to take part in two landmark events at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne — highlighting Switzerland’s growing role in the European space ecosystem.

The Space Community Days, organized by SXS – Space Exchange Switzerland, brought together over 300 participants, 34 presentations, and more than 250 One-to-One Meetings — a vibrant platform for exchange and innovation.

The celebrations continued with the, attended by over 1,000 guests and featuring keynote speeches by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher, Prof. Dr. Martina Hirayama, Renato Krpoun, Marco Sieber, and Claude Nicollier.

ETH Zürich | Space contributed with a keynote by Prof. Dr. Thomas H. Zurbuchen, presenting ETH’s vision for a bold, collaborative, and mission-driven future in European space research.
